Windrose, the latest project from the Windrose Crew that has already impressed players with its realism and immersive gameplay, is finally set to launch in Early Access this April. Specifically, the development team has confirmed that the title will be available on Steam starting April 14th.
Set in an alternative 18th-century Caribbean during the Golden Age of Piracy, Windrose puts players in the shoes of a shipwrecked survivor. From the very beginning, you will need to gather food, hunt for resources, and craft essential items and shelters to stay alive. Your ultimate goal is to find a way off the island and return to the high seas.
The game is an online co-op experience featuring deep exploration within a massive open world, combined with crafting, survival elements, and intense combat. While the social aspect is a highlight, the game also fully supports a Solo Mode for those who prefer to brave the dangers alone. However, the experience truly shines when playing with friends.
With over 1.5 million wishlists already on Steam, Windrose is clearly one of the year’s most anticipated releases. According to the developers, the main campaign will offer between 50 to 70 hours of gameplay.
